Zhang is a first-year PhD student at the College of Communication and Information with a concentration in public relations. She holds a master’s degree in advertising with a concentration in public relations from Xiamen University. She also has about three years of professional experience in PR and social media, including RED (Xiaohongshu), Ctrip, MSL Group, and TP-LINK.
Built on academic study and professional experience, Zhang is particularly interested in exploring the strategic roles of emerging media technologies in public relations, such as virtual influencers and AI-driven chatbots. Her research focuses on leveraging these technologies for CSR initiatives and crisis management.
