Yichen Zhu is a first year PhD student with a concentration in information sciences at the College of Communication and Information. His background spans hands-on laboratory research and computational genomic analysis, bridging biological experimentation with data-driven methods. He holds a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego. His research interests include multi-omics data integration, spatial transcriptomics, SNP phasing, allele-specific genomic modeling, and machine learning in genomics.
