Shining a light on the wide world of communication and information careers

Future Leaders in Communication and Information (FLCI)—sponsored by the Division of Access and Engagement—is an immersive three-day summer program that introduces talented rising high school juniors and seniors to the various disciplines and career pathways within communication and information.

During the three-day camp, students attend hands-on workshops in journalism and media; advertising and public relations; communication studies, information sciences, and leadership development taught by university faculty and staff.

Students also engage with each other through team-based projects, participate in college readiness workshops, and connect with professionals in the field of communication and information through exposure to industry leaders. These activities help students complete a comprehensive team project and showcase their work to university staff and faculty at the end of the program.
