Cole Burns is a PhD student with a concentration in communication studies. With a diverse educational background that includes bachelors in each child development and business and a masters in higher education administration, his research is highly interdisciplinary.
He’s specifically interested in how communication contributes to general well-being and success, so he studies topics ranging from how individuals utilize communication processes to enact resilience after experiencing traumatic events to understanding the power of messages on student success and career decision-making among college students.
Cole also works full-time at the University of Tennessee supporting students as they navigate career and professional development.
