Transfer Student Information

Students transferring from community colleges or other universities apply for admission using the online application. The university’s transfer credit policy is available in the current UT catalog.

The Office of the University Registrar provides course transfer equivalency tables for Tennessee community colleges and universities. The tables allow you to determine how courses you are currently taking or are planning to take at other Tennessee schools compare to University of Tennessee courses. Please visit the Transfer Center for more information about the University of Tennessee.

I’ve Been Admitted to CCI – Now What?

  1. Register for the New Vol Experience. Once you register, you select a date for your Virtual Advising Appointment. Your advisor will be in touch with you at least 48 business hours prior to your virtual advising session. Make sure to check your UTK email.
  2. Complete your Virtual Advising Appointment. During this hour and a half long appointment, you will find out your transfer credits apply to your major, learn about your new major, and register for classes.
