Aman Misra is a PhD Candidate at the School of Journalism and Media at the College of Communication and Information at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His area of interest is in public memory of sport and media perception of disability sport. Misra is interested in how journalists remember and document athletes and their disabilities in anniversary coverage of sport.
He holds a masters degree in journalism and a bachelors degree in finance from India prior to moving to the states in 2022 to pursue his PhD. At UT’s School of Journalism and Media, he has taught numerous classes including Introduction to Journalism, Sport Reporting and Writing, and Mass Communication History.
When not working at school, Aman enjoys playing sport and writing about it journalistically.
