Yewande Ojo

Yewande Ojo is a PhD candidate at the College of Communication and Information with a concentration in information sciences, where her research explores the use of digital health technologies—including mobile health (mHealth) and electronic health (eHealth)—in both high-income and low-resource settings. With an academic foundation in psychology and professional experience in user experience (UX) strategy, she focuses on how digital tools can be designed and implemented to improve healthcare delivery and accessibility.

Her primary research interests lie in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in digital mental health interventions and electronic health records, particularly in evaluating their effectiveness in expanding access to care and optimizing service delivery. Yewande is especially interested in how AI can support scalable, personalized care while maintaining ethical standards and promoting health equity. As an emerging scholar in information sciences, she applies data-driven methods to inform policy, design inclusive health technologies, and promote digital health literacy. Her work aims to address global disparities in healthcare access by creating user-centered solutions that are adaptable across diverse populations and healthcare systems.
