Join faculty and fellow students from the College of Communication and Information for an immersive two-day industry and networking trip in the state’s capital. Students will gain insider perspectives, connect with industry leaders, and see behind the scenes of communication and information careers in one of the South’s most dynamic cities.

This academic trip is to support student learning, professional networking, and employer engagement. This is an opportunity for students to meet with industry professionals for career exploration and to build a network for future employment. Many past students have garnered interviews and received jobs/internships from the connections made and professionals met during these trips.

The trip to Nashville will depart Tuesday, October 14, 2025, and return on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Registration will close noon Friday, September 26

Please click the appropriate registration link for your major below and fill out the form.

Once you complete the trip registration your school will communicate directly with you via email to make your trip fee payment and to confirm your spot on the trip. This may take time, so please be patient.

The trip fee for all students is $29 per student, plus meals. Transportation, hotel, and the alumni social is included in the trip fee. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Nashville-Vanderbilt, 2613 West End Ave Nashville, Tennessee 37203.

If you have questions about the networking trip, please contact Assistant Professor of Practice Joe Stabb at [email protected].

It was great to see how professionals work together and solve problems in different ways. The trip also taught me the value of being flexible and open to new ideas.”
