Where the Real World is Your Classroom
At the Tombras School of Advertising and Public Relations, not only do we provide high-quality education and valuable hands-on learning, we also encourage students to develop their Volunteer spirit. From internships and service-learning, to community engagement, our school produces well-rounded graduates who are ready to enter the world, succeed and make a genuine impact on the world.
I feel like a lot of the things we talk about in my classes are what I do every day. It’s really cool to see the behind the scenes and then be able to do it in real life.”

It Takes a Volunteer
Engaging our community
Serving our community is part of our mission as a land-grant institution, and at the Tombras School of Advertising and Public Relations, we are doing that through various initiatives. Our school is the first-ever named school at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the Tombras name honors the legacies of Charles Tombras, Sr. and Charles Tombras, Jr., and the indelible imprint the Tombras agency has made on the industry. The Tombras School’s current and on-going work represents our commitment to embodying the Volunteer spirit and ensuring our school enriches the community around us.
