The Scripps Convergence Lab provides communication and information students with a transformative facility for creating, writing and producing a variety of projects to prepare themselves for successful careers as working professionals. Much like the beacon featured in the Scripps’ logo, students at UT rely on the Torch held by the Volunteer statue to shed light onto others in positive ways throughout the university. The Scripps Convergence Lab will produce extraordinary results as CCI students seek to embody both the Volunteer Creed, “One that beareth a torch shadoweth oneself to give light to others,” and the core values of the Scripps Howard Foundation, “improving journalism, a free press, diversity, excellence and service.”
The Scripps Lab is open Monday-Thursday 8:30 am – 9:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. The lab is closed Saturday and Sunday. Hours may vary between semesters.
