The online debate reached a peak twice in the past two days: one was on February 14 at 4 pm, and the other was February 15 at 11 am. Overall, the sentiment of the topic is negative. 90% of tweets expressed their negative emotions on the national emergency.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-609\" src=\"https:\/\/utccismcc.utk.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2019\/02\/Screen-Shot-2019-02-15-at-6.19.38-PM-1024x344.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-606\" src=\"https:\/\/utccismcc.utk.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2019\/02\/Screen-Shot-2019-02-15-at-5.08.52-PM-1024x345.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For this topic, two celebrities were mentioned the most on the issue: Donald Trump and Ann Coulter. President Trump declared the emergency and received many comments on him. Many social media users also quoted <a href=\"https:\/\/theweek.com\/speedreads\/824188\/jj-abrams-posts-adorable-star-wars-episode-ix-set-photo-production-wraps\">Ann Coulter\u2019s assessment of Trump&#8217;s Rose Garden fiasco<\/a>, \u201cThe only national emergency is that the president is an idiot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Among all the hashtag in this topic, #faketrumpemergency was used the most frequently to express social media users\u2019 negative emotions.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-602\" src=\"https:\/\/utccismcc.utk.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2019\/02\/Screen-Shot-2019-02-15-at-5.59.45-PM.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-601\" src=\"https:\/\/utccismcc.utk.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2019\/02\/Screen-Shot-2019-02-15-at-5.56.11-PM.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-600\" src=\"https:\/\/utccismcc.utk.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2019\/02\/Screen-Shot-2019-02-15-at-5.55.26-PM.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-598\" src=\"https:\/\/utccismcc.utk.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2019\/02\/Screen-Shot-2019-02-15-at-6.04.06-PM.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As for the on-topic influencers, news agencies, such as ABC news, CNN, Market Watch, Newsweek, The New York Times, New Yorkers, and Times, are still the top influencers. As for the individual influencers, Donald Trump, Anderson Cooper (American journalist), and Ben Shapiro (American commentator) are the top influencers. Anderson Cooper said, \u201cWe fought the Revolutionary War not to have King George or his successor, and this is the action of a king.\u201d Ben Shapiro tweeted that, \u201cTrump shouldn&#8217;t be declaring a national emergency.
