The Twitter discussion started from 7 am, reached the peak at 10 am, and decreased at night.<\/p>\n<p>Among all the on-topic posts, half of the tweets hold a neutral sentiment on the incident of Facebook and Instagram, 31.7% had a positive sentiment, and 18.4% had a negative sentiment.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-476\" src=\"https:\/\/utccismcc.utk.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2018\/11\/Screen-Shot-1-1024x459.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-478\" src=\"https:\/\/utccismcc.utk.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2018\/11\/Screen-Shot-2-1024x300.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Some Twitter accounts took advantage of the incident and created interesting contents. The official account of Disney movie Ralph Breaks the Internet (@wreckitralph) posted on tweet to \u201ctake responsibility\u201d of Facebook and Instagram down and received 6,691 likes and 2,040 retweets.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-477\" src=\"https:\/\/utccismcc.utk.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2018\/11\/Screen-Shot-3.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The keywords \u201cwaiting\u201d was used frequently in the context of Facebook\u2019s down. Sesame Street posted a tweet with the GIF of the sesame character to show people\u2019s waiting status, which got 2,394 likes and 702 retweets.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-479\" src=\"https:\/\/utccismcc.utk.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2018\/11\/Screen-Shot-4.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Some social media users complained that Facebook\u2019s down brought some troubles for their digital marketing.
