Martin Riedl, School of Journalism and Media assistant professor and faculty fellow with CCI’s Information Integrity Institute, co-authored a new opinion piece in The Guardian with Samuel Woolley titled, “Paid influencers are everywhere in US politics. We need transparency.”
The piece draws on the pair’s recently published book chapter examining ethics and transparency in political influencer practices, as well as survey-based research on attitudes toward disclosure of paid political influencer content. The research, conducted through CCI’s Information Integrity Institute, published in Social Media + Society.
