Mark Willoughby is a doctoral student in the School of Communication Studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Willoughby’s research has explored organizational dissent in social movements, including #NotNCAAProperty and Stop Cop City/Defend Atlanta Forests. His dissertation is exploring the experience of mid-managers in the dissent process.
Willoughby works as the director of student engagement in the Haslam College of Business and teaches as an adjunct lecturer for the Department of Marketing. Courses of instruction include sports marketing and an entrepreneurship course focusing on name, image, and likeness (co-instructor). Mark earned both his bachelor’s and master’s from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in marketing and human resource management.
