2019-20 Land Ambassadors

Sarah Ali
Major: Journalism & Electronic Media

I am so glad that I chose to do my undergraduate education at the University of Tennessee!  My favorite thing about UT is definitely the people.  Despite being such a large school, UT truly feels like a family.  The College of Communication and Information is amazing in so many aspects!  Professors genuinely want to see their students succeed.  Student media outlets are phenomenal, providing opportunities for real world experience while allowing students to grow and prepare for jobs in their future career fields.

I have loved every minute at UT!  It didn’t take long to fall in love with Big Orange Country, the campus, the people, the school spirit, and the endless opportunities.  My absolute favorite part of being a student at the University of Tennessee has been the growth that I’ve seen in myself as I’ve experienced so many new things.  I am able to take new knowledge and apply it to the way I communicate in my everyday life.

Major: Public Relations

Having rooted for the Vols for as long as I can remember, I could not be more proud to be a Vol!  I love the traditions, values, and the sense of community at the University of Tennessee.  The people are what makes UT great.  I have learned so much through the experiences the College of Communication and Information has set forth for me.  The College makes valiant efforts to get students involved and the professors truly do want to see students succeed.

When making my college decision, I knew it had to be my “home sweet home.”  The University of Tennessee was the perfect choice!  My favorite thing about UT is the togetherness shared by students. The College of Communication and Information has created for me a strong family unit.  I have made lifelong friends and enjoy interacting with the professors and staff.  Walking into the Communications Building is like coming home at the end of a long day!
