As a first generation college student, Kaitlyn was determined and motivated to make every moment in college count. She describes her time at the University of Tennessee as \u201cthe greatest, yet most challenging\u201d, years of her life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUT has taught me to challenge myself in ways I could have never imagined from picking a major that I love, to branching out and joining organizations, I have pushed myself to find different things I enjoy.\u201d<br \/>\nKaitlyn is currently a member of Student Organization for Deaf Awareness (SODA) on campus. This organization has provided her many friendships with my peers and the Deaf community in Knoxville. After graduation, Kaitlyn plans on completing her ASLPI and pursuing a career in Deaf Education.
