Professor and Director Maureen Taylor traveled to Hong Kong to complete her final term on the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC), PhD Fellowship Scheme. She has served on the Humanities and Social Science panel since 2017.
JOURNALISM AND ELECTRONIC MEDIA
Professor Stuart N. Brotman’s article, “Convicting celebrities: How the morals clause continues to shape American culture,” was published in Harvard Law School’s Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law.
Professor Mark Littmann’s play, “Little Lessons for Lina,” will be performed at the American Museum of Science & Energy in Oak Ridge on Saturday, March 2, at 2 p.m. and is open to the public. The play recounts the story of Caroline “Lina” Herschel, the first woman to become a professional astronomer.
Lecturer Maria Fontenot was awarded a faculty fellowship and attended the NATPE Miami Marketplace + Conference (National Association of Television Program Executives) in January 2019.
