ESPNU came to Knoxville to telecast the UT-ETSU football game and gave fourteen JEM students the opportunity to work on a live broadcast. JEM Professor Sam Swan coordinated the students participating with the network and said, “We have been working with ESPN for many years to create these great opportunities for our students. They work alongside professionals learning on the job and experiencing first-hand what it takes to produce a live broadcast with all the planning, scripting, research and real-time adjustments that go into a football game TV production.”
