Director and Professor Maureen Taylor presented a webinar to the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand (PRINZ), “How public relations contributes to society: The value of social capital,” on August 29, 2018.
Emeritus Professor Ron Taylor along with Huan Chen (PhD/C&I ‘11) and Hoyoung Ahn (PhD/C&I ‘12) had their paper, “Learning, reflecting, and adjusting: Experiences of Asian scholars in US advertising education,” accepted for publication in the Journal of Intercultural Communication. This paper was incorrectly attributed to Professor and Director Maureen Taylor in the August 24, 2018 issue of Inside CCI.

Professor Bharat Mehra’s co-authored paper, “Expanding LIS education in the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomacy Lab Program: GIS and LGBTI advocacy in Africa and Latin America,” with Paul Lemieux (MS/IS ’16), Christine Burwell (BS/IS ‘16), Taylor Hixson (MS/IS ‘16), Robert Partee II (MS/IS ‘16), Keri Stophel (MS/IS ‘16), and Nicole Wood (MS/IS ‘16), was published in the Journal of Education for Library and Information Science, 59(3), 4-16. invited Mehra also delivered an invited webinar, “Expanding LIS education in the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomacy Lab Program: Mapping LGBTI cultural representations of difference in historical Sub-Saharan Africa,” on July 13, 2018, for the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE)Gender Issues SIG and Special Libraries Association’s Education Division.
