Communication Studies senior Dara Carney-Nedelman received a Project Global Officer award from the US Department of Defense to study the Indonesian language and travel to Indonesia. Danielle Clark, JEM senior, has been selected for the International Radio & Television Society’s (IRTS) summer internship program in New York City. She will join previously announced classmate, Justin Crawford, in this immersive learning experience. Her assignment will be with Sinclair Broadcast Group as an intern in the Marketing, Partnerships and Ad Sales Teams. She will work on social media and digital marketing research and strategy over the summer as well as assisting the Ad Sales Team with client events.
Journalism and Electronic Media juniors Nicholas Stokes and Trevor Bass won third place in the Graves Business Plan Competition lifestyle division, which was hosted by the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in UT’s Haslam College of Business.
