Professor Candace White presented research at the International Studies Association conference in San Francisco last week, “C-Suite perspectives on corporate diplomacy,” co-authored with Kathy Fitzpatrick (American U.) and Lindsey Bier (PhD/C&I ‘17) (USC).

Congratulations to Andrew Anglin for successfully defending his dissertation. Thanks to his dissertation chair Professor Eric Haley and his other committee members: Associate Professor Michael Palenchar, Professor Ron Taylor, and Associate Professor Jeanie Lim (CEHHS). The title of Dr. Anglin’s dissertation is “The past that never was and always will be: Feelings of nostalgia by theme park guests.” 

INFORMATION SCIENCES

Chancellor’s Professor Carol Tenopir was an external reviewer on the program review team for the Library and Information Studies Centre academic department at the University of Cape Town, South Africa this week.

Associate Professor Wade Bishop and Assistant Professor Carolyn Hank presented their paper, “Earth science data management: Mapping actual tasks to conceptual actions in the curation lifecycle model,” at the 2018 iConference in Sheffield, UK.

Doctoral student Iman Tahamtan had his paper, “Access to scientific research: Challenges facing communication in STM,” published by The Electronic Library, Vol. 36 Issue: 2, pp.387-390,   https://www.emeraldinsight.com/eprint/DJWNBTTB9PJRY9BKCUXX/full.
