October Faculty NewsADPR Associate Professor Courtney Childers received the Top Educator Award at the Knoxville chapter of the American Advertising Federation’s (AAF) annual Big Wig Awards.
IS Director and Professor Diane Kelly’s paper, “Measuring online information seeking context,” was selected as one of only 42 high impact articles published in the past 80 years in the Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology (JASIST). Voting is under way to select the top paper from each decade and the overall top paper.
IS Associate Professor Devendra Potnis has been awarded a US Department of State Diplomacy Lab grant for his Digital Literacy and Good Governance project. Potnis and his researchers will collaborate with the US Embassy in Kenya on this project.
JEM Professor Sam Swan received a US Department of State Diplomacy Lab grant for his project, “Social Media Wars: The Battle for Influence in Bulgaria.”
