Anne Holt Blackburn (BS/JEM ’73) and J. Phenise Poole (BS/JEM ’95) have been named as the newest members of the CCI Honorary Board of Visitors (HBOV).
Blackburn is a reporter and retired news anchor at WKRN-TV in Nashville, Tennessee. She served on UT’s Board of Trustees from 2006-2013 and on CCI’s Board of Visitors from 1990 to 2006. She has received many awards during her career including: CCI’s Hileman Distinguished Alumni Award (2009), UT Knoxville’s Alumni Service Award (2014), and 7 Emmy Awards. She is also a member of the Tennessee Journalism Hall of Fame.
Poole is the senior legal counsel/associate general counsel for Omnicare, Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a current member of UT Knoxville’s Alumni Board of Directors and served on CCI’s Board of Visitors from 2011 to 2017. Awards she has received include: the YWCA Black and Hispanic Achiever Honoree (2009) and the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati Rising Star (2005). She is also a member of the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers Steering Committee.
