CCI has formed an Honorary Board of Visitors (HBOV) to recognize certain Emeritus CCI Board of Visitors members who have provided the College with extraordinary leadership and financial support. When fully constituted, the HBOV will consist of six members serving staggered three-year terms with two members appointed each year.
The first two appointments to the HBOV (Class of 2019) are:
Mark McNeely (’70), Senior Partner, McNeely Pigott & Fox, Nashville, TN
Mary Beth West (’94), Principal, Mary Beth West Communications, LLC, Knoxville, TN
Mark McNeely is the 2015 CCI Donald G. Hileman Alumni Award recipient. His public relations firm has earned many state and national awards. He served on the CCI Board of Visitors from 2001 to 2015 including service as the BOV chair. His civic and charitable community contributions are extensive and have been widely recognized.
Mary Beth West’s public relations firm has earned local and national professional awards since forming in 2003. She has been active in serving her community in board and leadership roles. West served as a member of the CCI Board of Visitors from 2002 until 2015 when she became an emeritus member of the board.
“We are pleased to announce the inaugural class of CCI’s Honorary Board of Visitors,” said Dean Mike Wirth. “Formation of the HBOV represents a significant step forward in our alumni and professional relationships. We are grateful to Mary Beth and Mark for their long-time leadership and support of the college and for their willingness to continue to serve CCI in is this new role.”
HBOV members are expected to support CCI in a number of ways including: sponsoring/organizing alumni events, attending BOV meetings and through financial leadership.
