If you want to participate as a reader, email Dr. Susan Groenke, Director of the Center for Children’s and Young Adult Literature (CCYAL), to reserve a 5-minute time slot.

Doctoral student Sejin Park, Zienab Shoieb (MS/C&I ‘15), and Professor Ron Taylor had their refereed journal article, “Message strategies in military recruitment advertising,” accepted for publication in Armed Forces and Society.

Assistant Professor Moonhee Cho’s article (co-authored with Maria De Moya of DePaul University), “Empowerment as a key construct for understanding public relations’ potential for community engagement,” was accepted for publication in the International Journal of Strategic Communication.

Chancellor’s Professor Carol Tenopir participated in the invitation-only “Future of the dissertation workshop” put on by the Council of Graduate Schools in Washington DC, January 28-29.  As part of her participation, she presented a paper during the “Opportunities created by emerging technologies” session.
