Assistant Professor Devendra Potnis’ research paper, “The adoption of IBM’s spoken web in information poor communities: A pilot study with farmers in Gujarat, India,” has been accepted for presentation at the 49th Hawaiian International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS). The paper is co-authored with Dr. Shobha Chengalur-Smith (State University of New York) and Dr. Gaurav Mishra (Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of ICT, India).
JOURNALISM & ELECTRONIC MEDIA
Professor Ed Caudill and Professor Emeritus Paul Ashdown’s book, “Inventing Custer: The Making of an American Legend,” is now available from Rowan & Littlefield. The book traces the evolution of Custer’s myth from his Civil War exploits to his death at Little Bighorn and through subsequent histories, film, fiction, and the shifting views of Native Americans in the 19th and 20th centuries.
