INFORMATION SCIENCES
Chancellor’s Professor and BOV Professor Carol Tenopir along with Elizabeth Dalton (PhD/C&I ’14), Professor Suzie Allard, Lecturer Mike Frame, Ivanka Pjesivac (PhD/C&I’14), doctoral students Ben Birch and Danielle Pollock and master’s student Kristina Dorsett had their paper, “Changes in data sharing and data reuse practices and perceptions among scientists worldwide,” published in PLOS One. The research for the paper was funded by the National Science Foundation’s DataONE grant.
Assistant Professor Wade Bishop received Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP) funding for the research project, “Harvesting Information Partnerships for Geospatial data Education and Outreach (HIPGEO).”
He also had his paper, “Geoweb expectations and E-government mapping applications,” published in International Journal of Cartography with co-authors Kenneth C. Haggerty and Ben E. Richardson (University of Missouri).
Assistant Professor Devendra Potnis’ article, “Culture’s consequences: Economic barriers to owning mobile phones experienced by women in India,” has been accepted for publication by Telematics and Informatics Journal.
