Assistant Professor Emily Paskewitz is the newest member of the School of Communication Studies faculty. She has a Ph.D. from North Dakota State University (NDSU) in organizational communication. Her dissertation was titled, “When work and family merge: Understanding intragroup conflict experiences in family farm businesses.” Paskewitz received the NDSU Department of Communication’s Outstanding Graduate Student Researcher Award in 2014 and the Outstanding Graduate Student Teacher Award in 2013.
New Full-time Lecturer Drew S. Stewart has an M.A. in Strategic Communication and Leadership from the University of West Florida, Pensacola, FL. His teaching assignment for the fall at UT includes four sections of CMST 240 Business and Professional Communication. Stewart’s professional experience includes production management at Pyxl, Inc., teaching a basic communications course at Carson-Newman University and working for the University of Tennessee as a PEER Program recruitment and communications specialist.
