Dwight L. Teeter Jr., 80, a journalism educator for more than four decades, an expert and author on media law and journalism history, and a mentor to countless graduate students, died February 27 in Knoxville following a long illness. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 23, at 2 p.m. EDT at the Episcopal Church of the Good Samaritan, 425 North Cedar Bluff Road, Knoxville, TN 37923. Find out more
CCI Honors Free Medical Clinic Founder Tom Kim at DSLS Banquet
Dr. Tom Kim was presented with the 2015 CCI Diversity Award at the College of Communication and Information’s seventh annual Experience Diversity Banquet Friday, Feb. 20. Dr. Kim is an internal medicine and hematology-oncology physician who began the Free Medical Clinic of America in Knoxville over 20 years ago. Find out more
