Associate Professor Lisa Fall made a presentation, “Best practices for discussion board techniques to enhance student and faculty engagement,” at the 13th annual Alliance for Excellence in Online Education held in Detroit.



Assistant Professor Devendra Potnis made a presentation, “Real-time decisions to serve the unbanked poor in the developing world: Examples from Mexico and India,” as part of the Business Model Innovation track at the 2014 INFORMS Conference attended by over 1,500 researchers and practitioners in operations research and management science from Nov. 8 to 12 in San Francisco. 



Professor Rob Heller’s photograph has been accepted for a juried exhibition, “Rock & Roll,” at the Minneapolis Photo Center.

Professor Ben Bates’ RIPE2014 conference paper, “PSM going global? Navigating the transborder rights minefield,” has been selected as one of the top 15 conference papers and will be included in a book of readings, Public service media across boundaries, to be published by Nordicom.

The Chronicle of Higher Ed did a story on the Lady Vols logo change and used Assistant Professor Erin Whiteside as a source on the gender-related issues behind the decision.
