Chancellor’s Honors Presented to CCI Students and CCI

2014 TorchbearersChancellor Jimmy Cheek hosted the annual Chancellor’s Honors Banquet recognizing faculty, staff and students for their extraordinary accomplishments and service on April 23.  A large number of CCI students were honored at the event (see below),  and the College of Communication and Information received the first Dr. Marva Rudolph Diversity and Interculturalism Unit Excellence Award for demonstrating outstanding leadership and consistent contributions to advancing diversity and inclusion at UT.  The award is named in honor of Marva Rudolph, long-time associate vice chancellor and director of UT’s Office of Equity and Diversity who passed away in February 2014.  This award was made possible by the work of CCI’s diversity and inclusion team with special thanks to Alice Wirth, CCI director of diversity and inclusion/director of CCI’s Diversity Student Leaders Society, for her leadership, creativity and dedication.

A full list of CCI honorees, including CCI’s two Torchbearers is provided below.
