COMMUNICATION STUDIES
Whitney Porter (CCI doctoral student) and Assistant Professor Jonathan Pettigrew have been awarded funds through the 2014 Summer Graduate Research Assistantship program to conduct a research project focused on studying parent-adolescent conversations about drugs.
JOURNALISM AND ELECTRONIC MEDIA
Congratulations to Jodi Rightler-McDaniels for successfully completing and defending her dissertation. Thanks to her dissertation committee Chair, Professor Catherine Luther, and the rest of her committee, Assistant Professors Elizabeth Hendrickson and Amber Roessner, and Professor Barbara Thayer-Bacon (CEHHS). The title of Dr. Rightler-McDaniels dissertation is “Drawing the primetime color line: A critical discourse analysis of interracial marriages in television sitcoms.”
