Professor Ben Bates has been selected to participate in the 2014 International Radio & Television Society (IRTS) Faculty/Industry Seminar, which is being held in conjunction with the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.  IRTS hosts around 30 media and communication faculty at each seminar, where they interact with industry experts focused on the seminar’s topic.  The 2014 Seminar topic is “Reaching consumers in a multi-device world,” and includes one day of sessions specifically for the faculty participants, and two days of participating in sessions at CES, along with a floor pass to the show.  Selection is highly competitive, and IRTS covers most seminar costs outside of travel.  This will be the fourth time Bates has been selected to participate in the annual IRTS Faculty Seminar since coming to UT.
