A Ray of Hope
On Apr. 23, the School of Information Sciences held a ceremony to honor Rich and Jane Ray for their gift of $104,000 to establish the Jane Moulton Ray Endowed Scholarship for Information Science. This is the largest single gift to date for the School. Read more

SIS Named to International Organization
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s, School of Information Sciences (SIS) has been named a member of the iSchools organization, an international group of colleges and universities dedicated to advancing understanding of the relationships between information, people and technology. Read more
UTK Director of Student Publications Jane Pope Retires
Jane Pope retired from UTK on June 30 after 40 years of distinguished service to the University. During her many years at UT she had the opportunity to help many students develop their journalistic, writing and marketing skills through The Daily Beacon, The Volunteer Yearbook and Phoenix Literary Magazine.
