The Lib-Value Project, funded by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), is conducting an in-depth exploration of the value of academic libraries. The research work is featured in the spring 2013 edition of Quest magazine, http://quest.utk.edu/2013/maximizing-value/. Chancellor’s Professor and Director of the CCI Center for Information and Communication Studies Carol Tenopir is co-principal investigator of the project.
“This important project comes at a time when universities are facing financial challenges,” said SIS Professor and Director Ed Cortez. “The knowledge gained from this study will help many academic institutions maximize the value of their library investments. For UT, it will be of great value as we strive to achieve our Top 25 goals.”
