Faculty News: Haley, D’Arcy, Grower

Dr. Eric HaleyAdvPR Professor Eric Haley is the first ever Executive Editor of the American Academy of Advertising’s three academic journals – the Journal of Advertising (JOA), the Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising (JCIRA), and the Journal of Interactive Advertising (JIA). He will also continue to serve as the editor of JCIRA. “It was an honor to be asked by the Executive Committee of AAA to serve as the first Executive Editor of these journals,” said Haley.  “It came as a total surprise to me.  I’ve enjoyed establishing a new direction for Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising, and look forward to working with the Journal of Advertising and the Journal of Interactive Advertising.  It’s great for the UT advertising program to be the home of these top journals.”
Denea D'ArcyDoctoral student Denae D’Arcy had her ibook, How to Get a Job as an On-Air TV Journalist, published in the iBookstore as the 11th entry in the Tennessee Journalism Series of multimedia books. Chelsea Jensen Koerten (BS/JEM ’13) designed the book with iBooks Author — and in doing so made a substantial contribution to the work
