Sports Panel at 2012 Diversity and Inclusion Week

CCI’s third annual Diversity and Inclusion Week was a great success with 793 attendees at the week’s 8 panel sessions and 1 forum and 250 attendees at the Diversity and Inclusion Festival!  Forty-four individuals participated as panelists including 29 professionals and/or faculty members and 15 students. The panel sessions were all streamed live and are available at: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/cci-diversity-week.

Alice Wirth, Communication Studies lecturer and director of CCI’s Diversity Student Leaders Society (DSLS), chaired the Diversity and Inclusion Week Program Planning Committee and the Diversity and Inclusion Festival Committee.  Members of the Program Planning Committee included: CCI faculty members Lisa Fall, John Haas, Catherine Luther, Bharat Mehra, Margie Morrison, Hubert Smith, Erin Whiteside, and Mike Wirth; CCI staff members Beth Cole and John McNair; and CCI DSLS students Greg Dowell and Kelly Teg. Members of the Diversity and Inclusion Festival Committee included officers from CCI’s student organizations: Morgan Gore (DSLS), Kalee Harryman (PRSSA), Melissa Munsey (Communication Studies Club), Davis Porcari (DSLS), Gustavo Quintero (Ad Club), Chelsea Sanz (DSLS) and Victoria Wright (SPJ).
