The School of Journalism and Electronic Media, along with the Intercollegiate Online News Network (ICONN), hosted a workshop for high school journalism teachers titled, “Going Online,” on Monday, April 26.
The purpose of the one-day workshop was to help high school journalism programs that want to start a news website or take their publications online. This is all in an effort to help schools like the ones at the conference learn to teach web journalism in the future.
Attendees were also provided with a content management system, server space and maintenence for their sites at no cost.
