As of August 2012, two outstanding new faculty members have been added to CCI’s ranks.
Abbey Levenshus joins the School of Advertising and Public Relations as an assistant professor. Levenshus recently completed her Ph.D. in Communication (public relations track) at the University of Maryland. She has enterprise experience in communication for technology companies and government experience as the communication director for a U.S. Congressman. Margie Morrison, AdvPR professor and director said, “We’re delighted to have Dr. Levenshus join the team. She brings a fresh perspective on communicating both in traditional and new/social media.”
Jonathan Pettigrew joins the School of Communication Studies as an assistant professor. Pettigrew comes to UT after serving as a research analyst and project coordinator for the NIH-funded Drug Resistance Strategies Project at Penn State University. He earned his Ph.D. at Penn State in 2011. “Dr. Pettigrew brings a wide array of experiences to our program,” said John Haas, CS associate professor and director. “His knowledge and expertise will be particularly helpful as we begin to use of our new Message Effects Lab,”
