Internships provide students with the opportunity to gain the experience required to compete for beginning professional positions when they graduate. In particular, beefing up their portfolios and resumes along with making industry contacts, is an invaluable by-product of the internship process.
CCI works with a large number of employers to help them find high quality student interns and with student interns to help them find high quality internship opportunities. CCI Board of Visitors members and alumni use internships as a way to support CCI students.

Internships are a key way to”give back” says Sam Swan, JEM professor and student internship coordinator.  “We are especially grateful to our graduates who find meaningful internship options for our current students because it helps launch their careers when they graduate.”
Lisa Fall, AdvPR associate professor, echoes Swan’s comments and adds, “The real-world experience summer interns bring back to the classroom in the fall enhances the educational experience of all of our students.”
