CCI Commencement to be ‘All in the Family’ for Fulmer
The Spring 2010 commencement ceremony for CCI will be “all in the family” for Phillip Fulmer. Fulmer, former head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers football team, will give the CCI commencement address on May 12. Two of Fulmer’s daughters, Alison and Brittany Fulmer, are graduating from the college in the summer but will participate in the ceremony on May 12. + Click here for the full story
McCormick CEO, CCI Alum Judges Advertising Student Campaign Competition
Seniors in CCI’s advertising campaigns class recently got a taste of the real world that was a bit “spicier” than they expected.
During the semester, student teams were tasked with creating an advertising campaign for McCormick & Co., the nationwide spice and flavorings retailer. When the teams presented their campaign projects, the team of judges included McCormick CEO, chairman and president Alan D. Wilson (JEM ’80) and other executives from the company. + read more and see video

The College of Communication and Information held its annual Experience Diversity Banquet on April 9, and presented two Diversity Awards, the 2010 award to Phyllis Nichols and the 2009 award to Theotis Robsinson, Jr. + read more

Board of Visitors spotlight – Tom Adkinson
Tom Adkinson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from UT in 1972. He went on to earn a master’s degree in History from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is currently Vice President and Director of Communications for BOHAN Advertising/Marketing in Nashville, having joined BOHAN in 2002. + read more
