Four-time Olympian Joetta Clark Diggs Keynotes Diversity and Inclusion Week

1988, 1992, 1996 & 2000 Olympian Joetta Clark Diggs will kick off the University of Tennessee College of Communication & Information’s (CCI) second annual Diversity and Inclusion Week with a keynote address entitled, “Determined to Reach Your Destiny,” in UT’s McClung Museum Auditorium on Monday, September 19 at 7 p.m.  + read more

 

Dunlap Wins UTK Alumni Professional Achievement Award

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s alumni board of directors honored CCI alumna and president of the Poynter Institute for Media Studies, Dr. Karen Brown Dunlap (Ph.D. ’82), by presenting her with its Alumni Professional Achievement Award at a dinner on Friday, September 9, at the Marriott in downtown Knoxville. + read more

CCI Joins Forces with Air National Guard

CCI and National Guard

CCI has partnered with the United States Air National Guard to provide an in-depth workshop for key military personnel with primary responsibilities in communications. The executive education course, “Using Web 2.0 and Social Media to Communicate,” is designed to help participants use tools such as Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and other social media to increase the effectiveness of their communication efforts.
