Palenchar and Freberg present at Food Protection and Defense meeting
Michael Palenchar, associate professor, and Karen Freberg, CCI doctoral student, attended the National Center for Food Protection and Defense 2010 Biennial Meeting in Chaska, Minnesota. Freberg presented their research poster entitled, “Social media bookmarking services: Managing and sharing information from a centralized source.” Palenchar presented a review of their research in social media and crisis communication related to food safety.


Potnis publishes in Journal of Asia Pacific Business
Devendra Potnis, assistant professor, has published his article entitled, “Catalytic Innovation in Microfinance for Inclusive Growth: Insights from SKS Microfinance,” in the Journal of Asia Pacific Business. Lakshmi Mohan, associate professor in the State University of New York at Albany’s School of Business, is co-author.


Heller photo to hang in airport exhibition
Rob Heller, professor, has had one of his photographs accepted for the Arts in the Airport exhibition at McGhee Tyson Airport. Thirty-five works were chosen from 400 submissions by juror Stephen Wicks, curator of the Knoxville Museum of Art. The exhibit will run from October through April.
