Drupal Group meets in SCL
The Knoxville Drupal Group, organized by John McNair and Cindy Lancaster, will meet next Thursday, July 22, at 6:30 pm in the Scripps Convergence Lab (SCL).  The group welcomes all persons interested in the Drupal open source content management system, from “newbie” to expert. Tenopir receives Distinguished Alumnus Award
Carol Tenopir, Chancellor’s Professor, Director of Research and Director of the Center for Information and Communication Studies, has been awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award from her PhD alma mater, the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Each year this award is given to an alumnus who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of library and information science. Tenopir is being honored for her work in the areas of information access and retrieval, electronic publishing, the information industry, online resources, and the impact of technology on reference librarians and scientists.
