CCI doctoral students Ho-Young (Anthony) Ahn and Lei Wu, along with Communication Studies faculty member Mike Kotowski have won Top Applied Communication Paper at the upcoming annual convention of the Southern States Communication Association for the manuscript, “A Path Analytic Test of Anti-binge Drinking Public Service Announcement Effectiveness: Attitudes and Intentions.”





Erin Whiteside, Assistant Professor, had two papers accepted for the upcoming ICA meeting in May. The first titled, “The Politics of Activism:  Assessing Potential for Change Through FAME,” was accepted in the Feminist Research division. The second, “Examining How Organizations’ Facebook Pages Impact Perceptions of CSR and Organization-Public Relationships,” (lead author: Michel Haigh, Penn State University and Pamela Brubaker, Penn State University) was accepted in the Public Relations division. 




50th Anniversary of African American Achievement at UTK Kickoff Event (Rescheduled from January 11) – Tuesday, February 1, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Please make every effort to take part in the march from the Torchbearer to Ayres Hall and in the short program to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the admission of the first African-American undergraduates to UTK!
