Professor Dania Bilal has a contract for a new book titled New Directions in Children’s Information Behaviour Research.  The book will be published by Emerald Publishing Group in the UK in its Library and Information Science Book Series.  Bilal’s book is co-edited with Professor Amanda Spink, Queensland University of Technology, University of South Australia, and University of Malaya. The book is scheduled to appear in July 2013.

Bilal will give an invited presentation, “The iUserDB in Sync with Information Behavior and Usability Theories and Research” at the forthcoming Lebanese Library Association Conference held jointly with the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA)-Oceania Section. The conference will be held in Beirut, Lebanon, from Apr. 25-28.

Bilal will also serve as a Visiting Professor at the College of Communication and Information Management at the Lebanese University in Beirut from May 7-20.    



CCI PhD Graduate Student Representative Denae D’Arcy was named Graduate Student Senate member of the year for her service work on student policy.  D’Arcy is a first-year communication and information doctoral student.
