Luther Named SECAC Academic Leadership Development Program Fellow

Catherine LutherCatherine Luther, professor and associate dean of the College of Communication and Information, has been selected as a 2012-13 SEC Academic Consortium’s (SECAC) Academic Leadership Development Program Fellow.  Luther is one of four UTK faculty members who will be attending next year’s program.

“Established in 2005, the SEC Academic Consortium (SECAC) is made up of the 14 universities that comprise the Southeastern Conference. Its core mission is to advance academic excellence through collaboration.  In so doing, members of the SECAC have established and operate an academic leadership development program for senior-level faculty and administrators; enhanced education abroad opportunities for students; engaged university admissions offices in student recruiting efforts outside of the traditional SEC footprint, and built a framework for collaboration among academic deans and department heads.”
