John McNair, Technology Director, and Anne Hensley, IT Admin I, support the college labs, classrooms, faculty, staff, GTAs, and GAs. Cindy Lancaster is our third support staff and works for the School of Information Sciences. We work together to cover college technology needs throughout the year.

This page will serve as a repository of links to information that is commonly needed by our community.

LAB/CLASSROOM ALERT: News that applies to equipment or software will be posted here. Check here to see if your room is affected.

FALL 2009:

  • Room 309 is now a 20-seat PC lab.
  • Room 314 is an EPCOT (Experimental Prototype Classroom Of Tomorrow)
  • 321A/B is being converted back to an auditorium
  • 316 has 20 new iMacs
  • Classrooms 251 and 317 have revised smart podiums/screens and projectors with new touch control units

SPRING 2009:  Mac Labs 310 & 316 have been upgraded to 10.5 (Leopard) operating system. The new BEC Lab is also Leopard. Adobe CS3 is on each Mac machine.

FALL 2008:COMPUTERS HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THE SMART PODIUMS IN 208, 251, 309, 314, 317. If you want to use your own laptop, you will need to pull a VGA cable from the bottom drawer in the podiums and connect it to both your laptop and the podium.

Log in with your credentials;

IF YOU HAVE A WINDOWS MACHINE: Download the SPSS17 for Windows. You will have to do a second login and download the SPSS *** Installation Instructions for All Products*** which is a WORD document. In the body of the document is the license information for the serial number, license code, and critical update info.

Make sure that you select SITE LICENSE and then register via the internet when prompted for these choices.

IF YOU HAVE A MACINTOSH MACHINE: Download the SPSS 17 for Intel or Power Macintosh OS 10.4.0 You will have to do a second login and download the SPSS *** Installation Instructions for All Products*** which is a WORD document. In the body of the document is the license information for the serial number, license code, and critical update info.
