Twelve students and one faculty member from the College of Communication and Information were honored at the annual University of Tennessee Chancellor's Honors Banquet, held Wednesday, April 8 at the Carolyn P. Brown Memorial University Center.

A lecture series that features some of the nation's top cable executives is bringing two Scripps Networks leaders to the College of Communication and Information at the University of Tennessee.

A University of Tennessee, Knoxville, alumnus who now works as director of research services for a global media company will headline the 30th annual UT College of Communication and Information Research Symposium, an event that features original research on topics ranging from individual rights to decision-making in higher education.

Undecided undergraduate students with an interest in communication and information are invited to hear a diverse panel of College of Communication and Information young alumni and graduate students reflect on their job experiences.

Veteran international journalist Gary Thatcher will talk about "Twice Burned: Gathering and Presenting News in Troubled Countries" on Thursday, Jan. 31 in the McClung Museum Auditorium at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
