More than 30 advertising and public relations students were awarded scholarships at an April 21 convocation ceremony held by the School of Advertising and Public Relations.
"We are grateful to have the strong support of donors that allows us to award scholarships to so many deserving students in our two programs," said Dr. Ron Taylor, director of the school. "Many of our past scholarship recipients are very successful practitioners today, and I'm certain all of this year's scholarship winners will be, too."
The event was held in the University Center Ballroom on campus immediately following the College of Communication and Information Convocation. The college convocation also honored students and faculty from the School of Advertising and Public Relations, as well as the School of Communication Studies, the School of Information Sciences and the School of Journalism and Electronic Media.
The school awarded scholarships to 17 advertising students and 14 public relations students.
